How did these inventions change people’s lives? Students recognize four inventions, then investigate paper and printing through a real object image and two printing situations.

Prepare and print
Each student uses the two-page Student Handout or the two-page Language Support replacement. Print one two-page Group Activity per group and keep its pages together.
Use the three-question Exit Quiz in the final five minutes. Homework takes about 10 minutes after class.
No student devices, logins, internet, cutting, or special experiment equipment are needed.
